"Battle Beneath the Earth" (1968). Linen One Sheet (27x41). This Vintage Original LINEN One Sheet Movie Poster is in Very Good to Fine condition; This poster was linenbacked, and it had defects which were either only somewhat repaired during the linenbacking process, or more significant defects that were quite nicely repaired during the linenbacking process. Pre-Restoration Defects & Quality of Restoration: The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some creases and scuffs on parts of some foldlines and tiny surface paper loss across most foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). There was the bleed through from some marker writing on the back in the white background area just to the right of the "METRO-GOLDWYN-MAYER presents" at the top center of the poster. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster). Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but you can see the defects mentioned above. English
