This poster was linen-backed and you may still see

 some slight evidence of the restoration and/or the

defects when you look at the poster from inches away,

 and you may be able to see slight signs of restoration

 (or small unrestored defects) even from a distance,

 but they are surely the type that are not very

noticeable or distracting. The poster now looks

quite nice, and I think most collectors would be

quite happy to display this poster on their wall.

Pre-Restoration Defects & Quality of Restoration:

 The poster was never folded. There was an 8" diagonal tear starting in the right of the top border and running down through the left of the "X" of

"MIX" and ending at the brim of Mix's hat. There

were some scattered scuffs throughout the image. There is tape staining in the upper left blank border and a censor stamp in the bottom right yellow background area. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.

The poster was pretty well backed, but it was

backed on a very thin linen, and the restorer did

 not leave any excess linen, and the restorer did

 not address the censor stamp at bottom right

or the tape stain at upper left.
