| Sean Connery in "Goldfinger" Linen French Movie Poster ( 17" x 23" ). This Vintage Original Linen French Movie Posteris in Fine condition; Pre-Restoration Defects & Quality of Restoration: The poster was folded acrossthe middle only. It hadsome creases along the foldline and some creases, smudges, and tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great! PLEASE: Take a look at our super size image above to get a good idea on the condition of this Linen Movie Poster. This poster has been linen-backed and you may still see some slight evidence of the restoration and/orthe defects when you look at the poster from inches away, and you may be able to see slight signs of restoration (or small unrestored defects) even froma distance, but they are surely the type that are not very noticeable or distracting. The poster now looksquite nice, and I think most collectors would be quite happy to display this poster on their wall.
Did you know??? Although many of the locations in the film are American, Sean Connery never set foot in America during filming. All scenes where he's apparently in America were shot at Pinewood Studios, London. Did you know??? To remove the gold paint from all over her body, Shirley Eaton was scrubbed down by the wardrobe mistress and the make-up girl, and then had to sweat off the remaining gold in a number of Turkish baths. Did you know??? Honor Blackman is the oldest ever Bond Girl; she was thirty seven years of age at the time of filming. Did you know??? This won the first Academy Award for a James Bond movie. It was for Best Sound Effects and it was won by Norman Wanstall. Thunderball (1965) won a Special Visual Effects Oscar the following year and producer Albert R. Broccoli was awarded the Irving Thalberg Award in 1982. Ironically, the gilded Oscar statuette and the gilded girl in the film have such an uncanny resemblance making Goldfinger fittingly the first Bond movie to receive an Oscar.. Action.
